Engeli was established in 2011 by a group of Enterprise Development Specialists who have extensive experience, both locally and abroad. The team includes a variety of specialists in Private Equity and Fund Management, Business Support Services, Human Resources, Lawyers, Accountants, Engineering and Manufacturing.
Dr Ricardo Dames
Ricardo Dames (BSc, HDE, MBA, DBA) is a seasoned enterprise development champion, youth advocate, and catalytic changemaker with over 20 years’ experience designing high-impact programmes that unlock youth employment and entrepreneurship across South Africa’s emerging economies. As CEO at Engeli, he brings a deep commitment to inclusive growth, practical transformation, and scalable models that connect talent, opportunity, and economic resilience. Bronwynne Boswell
B. Com. 14 Years' experience in Business Skills Development and Transformation Development. Expertise includes developing of cost-effective B-BBEE solutions across all industry sectors, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met. Former Business Development Specialist focusing on SME development, growth and sustainability.

ICB National Diploma: Technical Financial Accounting
11 Years experience in Training and Development, Insurance and Financial administration and 2 Years Bookkeeping experience in the Retail sector. Chantal fulfills the role Financial Administrator at Engeli Group.
Elrene Hart
Seasoned HR Generalist with over 30 years of experience in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. National Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Postgraduate Degree in Labour Law Management. Former Senior Executive at Trade Union. Experience as a Labour Relations Specialist
Over ten years of experience in administration. This time includes a two-year tenure at KFML Holdings. She worked at Ukuvula Investment Holdings Group as an Assistant to the B-BBEE Manager and has worked as an assistant in the automotive sector. In charge of ensuring the smooth operation of various Engeli divisions.

NDip Marketing Management at NMU. Passionate about marketing, holds Two-year Experience as a marketing assistant working on events, social media campaigns and marketing analytics. Possesses knowledge and expertise as a language consultant teaching English to foreign students.
Lauren Peters
Holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology, Cum Laude, from NMU and brings a strong background in student development and mentorship, contributing insight, organization, and a collaborative spirit to our team. Currently serving as Programme Administrator for our Human Capital Solutions Division.
Laverne van Wyk is a dynamic professional with a BTech: Industrial Engineering and Project Management, backed by over 13 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry. Passion for Lean Manufacturing and Business Growth, she is recognised for her strategic acumen, adept leadership and great value for building relationships; Successfully spearheaded numerous projects, optimizing processes and driving exceptional results for her teams and organizations.

LLB (Nelson Mandela University). Experience as a Practicing Legal Practitioner; Legal Advisor in Private Equity, as well as Financial Planner specialising in long-term insurance. Began in higher education, where strong research and communication skills were developed.

Diploma in Human Resources Management (NMU) and an Entrepreneurial Development Certification from UCT Graduate School of Business. Experienced in Administration and has volunteered under different Youth Development Programmes and recently worked as a Project Manager at We Do Tech Limited (WDT).
Nontuthuzelo "Pinky" Samela
Pinky has held the fort at our Reception for since 2018 and manages the administrative functions and switchboard management. Pinky currently assists a few of the group companies and our Finance Department in their administrative tasks.
Rakesh Naidoo
Holds a Bachelor of Humanities degree, majoring in English Language Studies and Industrial & Organisational Psychology. With a strong foundation in administration and customer service, he brings both people-focused insight and practical experience to the team.Currently serving as an HR / Monitoring & Evaluation Administrator within the HCS and Central division,
MPhil in Conflict Transformation and Management, a PGDip in Labour Law Practices (CCMA), and a BA degree in Human Resources. She is passionate about empowering youth and entrepreneurs and is committed to driving impactful development initiatives within communities.
National Diploma in Operations Management (NMMU) backed with a Bachelor of Technology in Quality (NMU), with over 17 years’ experience in the automotive industry. His passion for efficient Quality Management Systems and Procedures creates determination for Built in Quality ensuring the best quality of goods and services.

Sivuyisiwe Msebi
Completed the Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) in 2012 & went on to KPMG to complete her learnership as a trainee accountant. During her learnership at KPMG, she passed both SAICA qualifying examinations & registered with SAICA as a Chartered Accountant. Prior to joining Engeli Enterprise Development, she worked at PWC as a manager in the Service Delivery Centre.
Trevor Hayter
B.Com, FIFM - Spent 10 years in Banking before starting his first business more than 30 years ago which became the leading Corporate FX Risk Management Company in South Africa. Subsequent to that he has started and run various companies, including a listed Company within the PSG Group of companies. His entrepreneurial nature has resulted in him being exposed to many industries, including Financial Risk Management, Manufacturing, Tourism, Export and Import, Warehousing & Logistics and other Services.

MSc (ITFM-Warwick University), MDip Tech (Elec Eng.) 25 Years' Enterprise Development experience including the National Manufacturing Advisory Centre (NAMAC). Last 8 years involved in the design & management of technology/innovation business incubators.
