We work closely with management teams, fellow investors and financiers on a hands-on basis to ensure optimisation of capital structures and funding sources to pursue growth opportunities.

Engeli is a registered Financial Services Provider and is deemed a Black Fund Manager per section 3.10 of the B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice. Our Investors and Portfolio Companies have recognised the potential value in transformation in the context of B-BBEE, and partner with Engeli to leverage our experience, networks, skills and other relevant resources to enhance the Portfolio Company’s profitability and competitiveness, thereby optimising the Investors' return on capital.

More specifically, the developmental partnership with Engeli is intended to afford the following opportunities:

- Transformation of the Distribution, Marketing or Sales Channels, resulting in enhanced margins and increased demand

- Supply Chain Development and Transformation, resulting in enhanced margins and improved procurement credentials

-  Other investments where Black Equity is likely to add value and will command favourable acquisition terms  

​

-  An association to the mutual benefit of all parties viz. the Investors, the BFM, one or more Black investors, and the Companies into which the BPEF invests.
